Probably the most interesting ‘job’ of the factory – and myself – is working with individual clients at Trunk Shows (or simply via email/phone) to make unique, one-of-a-kind shoes on request.  With a pattern archive of over 10,000 samples, we are well armed to tackle virtually any idea!  Also, with the new addition of a full-time modellist to our staff, we now have the ability to custom draft patterns for individual orders.  The factory is able to take any pattern from our archives, allow the client to choose his leather, leather color, sole detail, make minor changes (example – remove a medallion, add/change perfing patterns, etc) to the existing pattern, and occassionally even change the last (form used for production) to give a totally different look.  Further, if a request is not manageable from our archives or due to factory considerations, we will (for an additional fee) create a pattern just for you!  Finally, we often process ‘custom orders’ with minor fit adjustments that include ‘wider at the ball only’, ‘1/4 size longer’, ‘raised instep measure’ and ‘larger at ball and instep combined’.  Adjustments of this nature require the making of a fit-trial shoe for approval, as well as an additional cost and time consideration.  Please take note, however, that we do not provide ‘bespoke’ measures…..we use stock adjustments to standard lasts.  Not all fitting requirements can be successfully realized and we will always do our best, but reserve the right to refuse an order we feel is outside of our capabilities.

This work is best done with direct consultation with myself, preferably at a Trunk Show, and the cost will be set by individual order.  Typically, you can expect to be quoted anywhere between $650 – $950 per pair (non-exotic leathers), depending on the details chosen.  The factory will usually ship individual standard specials in 12 – 16 weeks, with fit-trial specials  (completed) scheduled to ship 14 – 18 weeks from initial order date, and we reserve the right to adjust these dates based on availability of requested materials.
